The following information has been excerpted from:
ďCounty HomeĒ by Mozella Phillips, an article 
in the Overton County, Tennessee History Book, 1983
Thomas Prichett was caretaker of the poor house in 1867, 1870, and 1871.The County paid him $96.24 in October, 1870 for care of the poor.
Bry Howard ran the Overton County Home from 1892 to his death in 1894. Then Harriet Howard (wife?) ran the home from 1894 to 1899.In 1900, the keeper of the Poor House was James Carr.

Dawson McCormick before 1916
James Qualls, late 1920ís
Overton Duke
Dick Wolfe, 1930ís
James Qualls, late 1930ís & early 1940ís
Edd Pryor, early 1940ís
Bennet Smith
Cornie Davis
Dick Wolfe, late 1950ís early 1960ís.

In 1961, he Poor house was converted into the Overton County Nursing Home.
