"Just to add some clarification. In Erie County we
had an Almshouse (Poorhouse) located in an area that
today is near 23rd and Pittsburg Ave (Millcreek Twp -
City of Erie border). That building was the 3 story
structure shown in the lithograph and also in [the top]
one of your two posted photos.
Then
sometime around 1900, the building which is two stories,
and is the one shown in your top photo, was built
in Fairview Township. That building still exists,
although it is today a private nursing home."
