"Selby P(arker) Truitt, the keeper of the Worcester County MD
Poorhouse as listed in the 1850 Federal census is my great-grandfather, the father of my
paternal grandmother. He was born 22 Sept 1821 and died 12 June 1891. He was
single at the time the census was taken, He first married on 15 Oct 1850."

"I was wondering, if you had any information on the Bellevue
Alms house, in Washington Co. Md. My husbands Gr. Gr. Gr. grandfather was
there. The information I have ,said he was a pauper, I would like to know the
years it was there, and where I might be able to obtain records."
