WASHINGTON COUNTY (NY) POORHOUSE CEMETERY NUMBERED STONES -- D - F |
| Note: Information in the last column came from the entry in the actual interment lists UNLESS it is in parentheses. The interment lists gave quot;nationality"However, any information in parentheses comes from an Inmate Registration Certificate which gives only "birthplace". |
| Click here for further information about Inmate Registration Certificates. (NOTE: this will take a while to load). |
| Note: Six stone numbers were never assigned (possibly broken before use?): 128, 139, 140, 169, 199. Four stone numbers were assigned twice -- highlighted below: 45, 104, 149, 178. The assignment of one stone (202) was too illegible to be read. |

| 197 | DICKENSON | GEORGE | 80 | 11/13/1921 | OLD AGE | from KINGSBURY | AMERICAN | |
| It must be noted that in this entry on the interment list mention is also made of burial at Kingsbury. However, there is no reference to any other body being assigned this stone number -- and the stone still stands on a grave in the cemetery. It seems likely that, at the time the entry was made, it was assumed that burial would be elsewhere. However, that may not have happened and subsequently this stone was assigned and burial carried out at the poorhouse cemetery. That seems logical; but we will appreciate corrections if anyone has further information. | ||||||||

| 104 | 00002 | DUTCHER | CORDELIA | 65 | 2/11/1908 | SENILITY | AMERICAN | |
| This number (104) appears to have been assigned twice -- also to someone whose name is illegible and who died in 1906. It seems logical to assume that the person who died earlier may have been exhumed and buried somewhere else. | ||||||||
| 102 | DUTTON | JAMES | 42 | 9/27/1905 | CONSUMPTION | IRISH | ||
| 17 | 01387 | EAGAN | THOMAS | 36 | 2/15/1895 | DELERIUM TREMENS | (NY) | |
| 149 | EDIE | BENJAMIN | 72 | 4/4/1915 | from GREENWICH | |||
| This number (149) appears to have been assigned twice -- see also ALEXANDER HOUSTON who died 2/8/1915. It seems logical to assume that the body of Mr. Houston may have been exhumed for reburial elsewhere. The stone with that number could then have been used for Mr. Edie. | ||||||||

| 186 | FITZGERALD | JOHN | 73 | 10/9/1920 | from HEBRON | IRISH | ||
| It must be noted that in this entry (186) on the interment list mention is also made of burial at Hebron. | ||||||||
