NOTES:
"To provide living quarters for paupers in the
county, officials established a [Williamson] county poor farm, located about half a mile out present Hutto Road, southeast of
Georgetown. The grimness of the place was indelibly marked on the memories
of hundreds of people who had occasion to visit the farm, and on the somewhat
fewer who called to share a little of their own good with those trapped by an
unkind fate.131"
