"There was a poor farm at Bagwell in Red River County Texas.
By the time I was a child growing up there, all trace of it was gone, but my
father showed me the field where it used to be. He said that there was a
cemetery at the poor farm but the graves were not marked in any way that would
last, so the cemetery is also lost. The following articles
appeared in Red River County Newspapers concerning the poor farm there.
