NOTES FROM READERS:
"My grandparents were caretakers of the Hill County, TX Poor Farm
in about 1929-1930. Their names were Thomas Daniel White and Mollie Mae
White. I played there on my visits. The Poor Farm was located
approximately 1.5 - 2 miles from Hillsboro, north on #171 toward Osceola and
Covington, on the right side of the road at the top of the hill. On the
left side of the road, there is a masonry building where a prison farm was
located."
