1870 Census Schedule 1-- Inhabitants in Range Four (4) Township Four (4), in the County of TIPPAH, State of Mississippi, enumerated by Mr. H. Morgan on the 10th day of September, 1870. The following listing is for Dwelling 3/Family 3 on pages 1 & 2 of this enumeration. It appears to be a poorhouse (or a house in which "paupers" may have been kept according to a contract for the services of the owners). It was transcribed and submitted by Kay Linn of Midland, Texas. Her great-great-grandfather was the keeper of that poorhouse at that time.
