POOR RELIEF in WEST SPRINGFIELD MASSACHUSETTS
I'm doing cemetery research in West Springfield MA and was searching for information on pauper's fields - called the town lot here. I thought you might like the tiny bit I've found on Clark Pomroy and the poorhouse. The asterisk adds the info I found in town vital records/cemetery records.
 
I do know that there are nearly sixty folks buried in our town lot - most identified by name only, others simply infants and unknowns, however poorhouse residents were likely buried in what is now Holyoke.
